Cassie Gannis Runs at Minuteman 100/Armed Forces Night at Tucson Speedway

Cassie Gannis, the youngest female driver to ever have a NASCAR license, will be participating in the Super Late Model races on Saturday, May 16, at the Tucson Speedway Minuteman 100 Armed Forces Night.

Cassie was originally planning to unveil her new chassis, but as with any project, sometimes there are delays.

Kathy Gannis, Director of Social Media and Public Relations for Cassie Gannis Racing, said the crew took their engine and put it in another racecar, adding: "The Team decided to take this option because at this point Cassie is fourth in points, and we didn't want her to miss a race and drop back."

Cassie's next scheduled race will be June 20 at Tucson Speedway.  It is the Icebreaker 100+ "Race the Temperature", where drivers will race as many laps as the day's high temperature.  The team is hopeful that the new car will be ready to unveil then.
