Phoenix based Cassie Gannis tested for / approved at Daytona International Raceway in the ARCA Series for Carter 2 Motorsports in the nationally televised racing series DAYTONA BEACH, FLORIDA (December 20, 2014) – For Carter 2 Motorsports, the two-day Open Testing at the Daytona International Speedway was a complete success for the team and the multiple drivers that participated.
“I am pleased with the success we had this weekend,” team owner Roger Carter said. “We got a lot of kids certified, and all of them showcased their driving talent. We are very impressed with what we saw and look forward to the possibility of them driving for us in the future.”
Out of the entire Carter 2 Motorsports organization, Roger Carter initially turned the best lap of 49.080 seconds, placing him at the top of the charts for Saturday’s morning session. Unfortunately, the time was disallowed, due to an error made by the crew when the mandatory spacer was installed.
